If you come from the place of truly wanting to serve your buyer or seller, then being a market expert-not just a product expert-means being more knowledgeable than any of your competitors. This is easy to do as most of your competitors will be more concerned about selling a listing than about positioning themselves as an expert.
In every case where I have personally run a real estate brokerage using these strategies and helped clients do the same, we have slaughtered our competitors. Even after they see what we are doing, they cannot grasp it. Building a core story to your real estate brand as an authoritative figure will push your marketing to its maximum potential. Think working smarter, not harder. The one who gives the market the most and best information will always be miles ahead of those who think building a multi-million dollar real estate team is just about selling listings.
