It sounds counterintuitive, but whatever type of challenge you face, an insightful exercise is to say to yourself, “I am the problem.” Because once you see yourself as the problem, you can see yourself as the solution. When you see yourself as the problem, your mentality, perspective, and expectations reveal their limitations or shortcomings. ⠀
By seeing yourself as the victim of your problems, you lose the power to solve them. You shut down creativity when you declare the source of your challenges are external and beyond your control. When you say, “I am the problem,” there is a great power that shifts from the outside to the inside. You then can begin becoming the solution.
