Life is How You React to It

Don’t underestimate the influence attitude has on every situation. Good or bad, never be so attached to an event in your life to the point where it starts to define your self-worth and self-esteem. ⠀ ⠀

If you find yourself in an unfavorable situation, the first step is acceptance. Acceptance of what is. Acceptance doesn’t mean you cave to the situation, it simply means you acknowledge the situation and spend no energy in a loop of resistance.

Once you have truly reached acceptance, you then can spend your energy on taking control of the things you can control. Find clarity by refining your goals and action plan. When you begin shifting your focus from the problem to the solution you start creating a new reality around that situation by redefining it to something positive.

Often enough, when you respond to unfavorable events with positive action, those unfavorable events end up being blessings in disguise in the form of growth, new opportunities or a better quality of life.

“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it” puts the massive onus on the reaction. That means you have the majority of control in any situation. Ultimately, it’s your decision. ⠀
